These set of calculators can be used to obtain generic heat transfer rates and more specifically, conductive, and convective heat transfer rates. We have excluded radiative heat transfer since that is negligible in most heat transfer systems.

The calculators are presented in an easily understandable format with required inputs presented at the top section of the calculator. To obtain basic heat transfer rates, enter the specific heat of the heat transfer fluid, the mass flow rate and temperature differentials. For conductive heat transfer, the required inputs include the temperature gradient, thermal conductivity of the conductive material, heat transfer surface area, and the thickness of materials. To obtain convective heat transfer rate, enter the applicable heat transfer coefficients, surface area, the surface and thermal fluid temperatures.
